Family day^^
hey guys...I just realize i didn't really blog much bout my church alot huh? well? I go to Holy Rosary church, Brickfields.
the community there is really sweet and I got welcomed wramly on the day I transferred ther last year.
And also, we have sunday school ^^ we talk about the bible and stuff, but thanks to my 2 interesting teachers, we sometimes side track to socials, the media, and since one of them is a school teacher, he CONSTANTLY talks bout relationships...=.= which gets me really uncomfortable, (not because he's talking about safe *** or whatever he's just...you know....."likes to push the couples in"= matchmaker/cupid) LOL...so yea...It's a fun society for a sunday morning...
so anyway, the reason I'm doing this is well? we had family day yesterday....and my sunday school teachers were the heads for it...it was quite fun ^^
mostly we played games and had snacks.
we were seperated into 8 groups (which were put as saints) to family or friends.
I got to join my friend Kelly and her mum in 1 group coz since my parents were sunday school teachers also, they were busy and had no time to play =(
Our group was saint Linus (Google it up)
8.30am= helped mum with registration, the families were SUPPOSE to register at 9am, but mostly came at 9.30-12noon =.=
10.30am= I missed praise and worship =( and they were singing my fav song *sigh* well I got some older buds to acompany me la...Phelan and his bud...nice of them but it soon ended when I had to get busy with the registration, i was the only 1 left at the table =.=...and the stampeed came all at once ARRR...then when mum and teachers came back, Phelan, his bud and I had to head off for treasure hunt ^^
12.30noon= we ended the treasure hunt, It was fuuunn ^^ ( I don't mind ya call me a kid or what so, but I fell back to childhood again running around with lil kids..) Adorable ^^
then we got some quick beverages before the head teacher usshered the kids and I back inside for another game....*phew*
1.45pm=we finished the second game, it was something to do with newspaper but I don't really
know how to define it lolx, the Pot Luck lunch was SCRUMPTIOUS!! I looved the spaghetti and home-made mee-hoon ^^
My dad too contributed dessert.....500-700 cupcakes decorated just for the kids...Yes some had clown dolls stuck to the cupcakes....wow rite? XD
and FINALLY Mr Chia came at bout 1pm....reason? "had to finish math h/w leh~ still didn't finish yet somemore...." =.=
3.30pm= Veron came about when the kids were playing a balloon game and pin the donkey tail..lolx...teens and adults sat behind doing their thing..*and then there was unending silence of what the heck are we still here??*
the kids were screaming "UP UP!! LEFT RIGHT RIGHT DOWN!! NOOO DOWN!!" to lead their fellow blind folded kiddie mates to pin the donkey tail....(I don't really know whether some of them are familiar with directions but still ADORABLE ^^
4 to 5pm= we then had a talent show....my mom sang 1st...two songs and I'm in love with her voice sigh..."the power of love" she ask me sing with her but I scared I make the speaker break only...=.=
then my teacher ask stan,kelly and I (veron went already coz too "tired") to sing one way ticket....seriously Anyone knows whats dat? we're clueless!!
of corz we said no...too err shy...lol
kelly escaped home when teacher tried to "harmonize" stan and I to sing with him
but then when it was break time the teens pumped up the volume with poker face...(litterally full blast) WHOOP!! XD
we got ourselves "high" and sang our hearts out...
then we had a lucky draw but I wasn't so lucky, but we did win some prizes from the games we played ^^
at about 5pm everyone went off....the movie journey to the center onthe earth was cut coz the hall was 3/4 empty ady...*sigh stan and I wanna watch leh!!* didn't care bout us and the others wan teachers? =(
lolx..well when my parents had to finish some stuff.. I helped stan fill up the empty CLEAN (so quote) mineral water bottles with the orange juice left in the gallon to distribute and have it for oursleves...*snickers*
then finish ady lor...wen back home and bade goodbye to stan...(i think he took a taxi home not sure 0.0)
well here's my family day....more like 'friends day'....sigh my family/parents were too busy with everything I had to improvise myself....well friends are family too anyways ^^
